From my childhood, I followed my mother in believing in the Lord, and at that time I just knew there is one God, that is, the Lord Jesus Christ. After growing up, I saw the Bible says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). From the scripture, I understood only the Lord Jesus is the true God, and there is no salvation but through Him. So I believed holding on to the Lord Jesus’ name would never be in the wrong. Afterward, I seldom attended meetings because of my schooling, but the CCP’s atheist education failed to eradicate God from my heart. After graduation, I was occupied even more by affairs of the flesh and my entire being was bound tightly by my work, family and life. So I had less and less time to worship God and I just went to church occasionally to attend worship. Gradually, I became more and more distant from God, and I prayed to the Lord Jesus only when I ran into something. One day, I saw this in Exodus 3:13,15, “And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the children of Israel, and shall say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say to them? … And God said moreover to Moses, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, Jehovah, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial to all generations.” During the Old Testament Age of Law, God’s name is Jehovah. God clearly told us the name of Jehovah would be His name to all generations, but why is God’s name Jesus in the Age of Grace? Doesn’t the New Testament say, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12)? What was going on here? I read these several verses repeatedly, but the more I read, the more confused I became. Isn’t Jesus our Savior? Jehovah and Jesus are one God, but why don’t they have the same name? Could it be that God’s name can be changed? The more I read, the more I became muddled; the more I thought about this problem, the more perplexed I became. Then I searched my memory, and I recalled this period of time when I secretly kept observing every word and act of the brothers and sisters from CAG. And I found they were indeed sincere and devout in their words and actions. Every time they came to have meetings in our home, they all fellowshiped about the truth and their fellowship was very practical, which was not like what was said on the Internet. What’s more, through the debates with my wife during this period of time, I found my wife knew more and more truth and her words were insightful and weighty since she had believed in Almighty God. In such a short time, it was no small matter that she had made such progress. Without the work of the Holy Spirit, she would not have achieved such a result by herself. So I began to reflect on myself: Am I wrong? I felt an intense battle raging in my heart, and felt uncomfortable. I itched to figure out this problem, but I was unwilling to bow my head to seek from my wife because I couldn’t let go of my face.

But do you know how the Lord will appear to us when He returns? Will it really be as we imagine, that He will appear openly, directly descending upon a cloud? God says, “Do you wish to see Jesus? Do you wish to live with Jesus? Do you wish to hear the words spoken by Jesus? … In what manner will Jesus return? You believe that Jesus will return upon a white cloud, but I ask you: To what does this white cloud refer? With so many followers of Jesus awaiting His return, among which people shall He descend?” “When you see Jesus descend from the heaven upon a white cloud with your own eyes, this will be the public appearance of the Sun of righteousness. … It will herald the end of God’s management plan, and will be when God rewards the good and punishes the wicked. For the judgment of God will have ended before man sees signs, when there is only the expression of truth“.From: Grow in Christ - The Second Coming of ChristBy Li XinWhat is faith? Under comfortable environments, with our works going well and family lives being peaceful, many of us will have the faith to follow the Lord, actively reading the Bible and attending meetings; however, once something unpleasant happens, we will become weak immediately. For example, when we are facing living difficulties because of losing our jobs, when our families lose peace due to something against our wishes happening, or when we are always refused a new job in spite of our praying, we begin losing our faith in God. Then, in consideration of all these things, what is real faith exactly? As for this question, there are two passages of words that speak clearly, “What does faith refer to? Faith is the genuine belief and the sincere heart that humans should possess when they cannot see or touch something, when God’s work is not in line with human notions, when it is beyond human reach. This is the faith that I speak of. People are in need of faith during times of hardship and refinement, and along with faith comes refinement. These are inextricable. No matter how God works or what kind of environment you are in, if you are able to pursue life, seek to have God’s work carried out within you, and pursue the truth, and if you have an understanding of God’s actions and are able to act according to the truth, then this is your genuine faith and this shows that you have not lost hope in God. Only if you are still able to pursue the truth through refinement, you are able to truly love God and do not develop doubts of Him, if no matter what He does you still practice the truth to satisfy Him and you are able to deeply seek out His will and be considerate of His will, then this means you have true faith in God.” “When you face sufferings you must be able to not consider the flesh and not complain against God. When God hides Himself from you, you must be able to have the faith to follow Him, to maintain your previous love without allowing it to falter or disappear. No matter what God does, you must submit to His design, and be more willing to curse your own flesh than to complain against Him. When you are faced with trials you must satisfy God in spite of any reluctance to part with something you love, or bitter weeping. Only this can be called true love and faith.” From these words, we see that true faith is the belief that we should possess when God’s work is not in accordance with our notions. When we face suffering and hardships, we do not lose our faith in God or complain against God and are able to follow God as always, and even if we can’t see His actions after praying, we still completely believe in His work and words without any doubts and have an obedient heart to seek out His will. This is true faith. From: Grow in Christ – The Second Coming of Christ
